SYNOPSIS
April 2004. Rainy season.
On the green hillside of Kigali, the clouds are threatening to break out and Rwanda is remembering the genocide that occured 10 years ago.
Ten years ago, the director of this film was 20 years. She lost her father then.
And her mother was 20 during the country’s independance years. She also lost her father then.
Homeland is a journey around Rwanda, with characters from 2 different generations :
those who were 20 year old during the genocide and those who are old enough to have been 20 during the sixties, the independance years.
A trip back in time to question repeated
violence, fate and cruelty.
